Change in terms of use of material on this blog
Posts up to and including December 25th 2013 were licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.
From December 26th 2013, those wishing to reproduce in whole any posts
will need written permission from the maintainer of this blog. I trust this change will be respected.

To clarify:
ReplyDelete1. Those who have used my material published prior to the 26th December 2013 are free to make use of this material. I do not retrospectively change the terms of use of material, so those who have used it are within their rights to keep those posts on their respective websites and blogs. I have seen at least one case where someone retrospectively changed the terms of use of material from Creative Commons to All Rights Reserved, and I was less than impressed. Once again, any material prior to Dec 26 remains under a Creative Commons, and those who have made use of it are welcome to continue making use of it forever.
2. The new terms of use do not stop people from quoting from them for the purpose of review or criticism - standard 'Fair Use' terms apply no matter what the terms of use of material on this website may be.
3. The main reason for this change is that the appearance of my material on non-theist websites has led to at least one person claiming that I am cooperating with these non-theists. Needless to say, this is not true, and I would imaging that most people would be able see this.
However, in the atmosphere of hysteria that anti-evolutionists are creating, critical thinking and basic common sense tend to be in short supply, so I have made this decision in order to clearly differentiate myself from those who use my material.
For publication:
ReplyDeleteLet me get this right: My Atheist website publishes Ken's Theist articles, complete with the "God guiding Evolution" material and all the content about the atonement which I do not agree with, and the Christadelphians accuse Ken of "co-operating" with me and tell him that he's done WRONG?
I thought that "Christadelphians had to preach the gospel in all the World"? Surely that's what was happening? Getting Christadelphian Theist material onto an Atheist website unedited must be viewed as a success, not wrongdoing?
Now if Ken had published my Atheist material on his Christadelphian Theist website I would understand that you might be mad at him. But his material working to prevent Christadelphians from deconverting on my website? Christadelphians don't agree with that?
In any case, Ken DID NOT ask me to publish. I did it without asking him because that's how the material was licenced.
Let me tell you Christadelphians: Your young people are deconverting in droves on my website because you taught them Young Earth Creationism and Flood Geology. When they reach their late teens and early twenties, they go to university or college and learn about the millions of pieces of evidence against YEC and FG. Then they realise to their horror that you lied to them and they walk right out of your religion and never return.
You have turned it into a turkey shoot for me. Or to use another metaphor; deconverting Christadelphian young people is like netting fish in a barrel of water. BECAUSE you filled their heads with scientific nonsense which they know is NOT true.
So they don't trust you anymore!
Brave brethren like Ken Gilmore are all you've got to stop the brightest and best of your young people leaving the religion. And they ARE leaving. Many are refusing to be baptised. They write on our Atheist website instead.
Ken is right: The Earth is billions of years old and Evolution did happen. If you don't allow your young people to believe those fact and instead try to stuff YEC and FG nonsense into their heads; you are most definitely going to lose them.
Ken should tell you all to go to H*ll and allow me to continue publishing his Christadelphian Theist material on my website. He should be preaching the gospel on my Atheist website and explaining to the wavering Christadelphian young people that we Atheists and Agnostics are wrong. He should be offering them the viable Theist alternative that does NOT conflict with science. He should be giving them every reason to STAY in the religion and to be baptised if that has not already happened in their lives.
But instead the Christadelphians stand in his way and make him stop me from publishing his great material.
That makes NO sense at all.
Come to your senses Christadelphians and give this fine brother the support that he needs to promote your religion to young people.
These young people are not strangers to you. Most of them are your FAMILY! They are your own children and loved ones who are leaving. Why prevent Ken from trying to keep your own kids in The Truth? Why do that?
Ken,
ReplyDeleteIt has always been clear to me that the authors of the Jewish scriptures did not have evolution in mind, period, "evolutionary creationism" or otherwise. Everything was created in the past tense, literally instantaneously...you know, like magic, like pulling a rabbit from a hat.
As you know, if God is the author of DNA, he would not have to retain the DNA of the past specimens of any species in the specimens of modern species unless he wanted to fool people into thinking the species evolved without creationism being involved in it.
Personally, I wouldn't use your material for the very reason that evolutionary creationism makes even less sense than God poofing everything into existence 6,000 years ago in a garden in Eden with the appearance of great age. Either way, though, it could only have the purpose of fooling people and that God really is the author of confusion.
