A relaunch / reboot / return to the fray. Why I'm restarting regular posting.

The two or three people who still check my blog (remember them?) will be aware that postinng frequency has dropped down to a post or two per year. The main reason is that as all the usual creationist arguments have been adequately dismantled more than once, any further posting would see me repeating myself and that prospect holds no attraction. Furthermore, when I started blogging on evolution over ten years ago, the subject was still not just controversial but one which could see people who accepted evolution under threat of excommunication. Since then, the situation has changed. While the community at its official level still denies the fact of evolution and will promote dire pro-creationist nonsense, the subject is no longer taboo, with some Christadelphian journals discussing it in a neutral or even positive way. [1] Given this, I have elected to restart regular posting.

As I said, there are no new Christadelphian anti-evolution arguments so don't expect anything fundamentally new. However, new research helps demonstrate the fact of evolution, while in the last five years a new generation of science communicators have emerged online providing excellent material both eviscerating creationists and teaching evolution. I will refer to this in future. Finally, given that wretched Christadelphian misrepresentations of evolution still poison the community, there is a need to continue to smite bad arguments unti they no longer twitch.

They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not. 43 Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad. - 2 Sam 22:42-43 (AV)
